Time & the Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl
What exactly do I mean when I say that all roads lead to Aztlan? To this point we have been considering two worldviews that were each seen to impact human consciousness as a psychological predisposition or way of life. That is, it has been my intent to show that for those of us that follow the dictates of a “Western European” ideology, in the form of a modernist scientific methodology, life can become a series of qualified episodes that can in turn be measured and described in scientific terms. Over time, this has become the way Americans instinctively
think.
Stated differently, Americans tend to think descriptively and categorically as a precursor to serving the needs of science. From such a perspective, is it possible to maintain the concrete belief that the individualism of rugged American ideology is well founded. It is also acceptable to say that life is initiated with the birth of an individual and extinguished with their death. In other words, there are no illusions of spiritual transcendence or mystical belief systems in the American thought processes of those fully committed to a scientific orientation.
Alternatively, we have also considered a worldview that has been described as a form of "Poetic Consciousness". In this context, life itself is seen as an illusion that is granted and maintained by a Great Spirit. Thus, the scientistic orientation of rugged American individualism is held to a teleological role with respect to its' epistemology and ontology. That is, it is considered to be in a secondary position of importance to that of the indigenous spiritual ontology and poetic epistemology that is maintained in our indigenous cultures. Concomitantly, I have also suggested that contemporary science, via quantum physics, are 5000 years behind the indigenous populations that have inhabited the American continents long before Western European civilization began its' systematic project of cultural genocide on indigenous populations and inhabitants from around the world to include the African, Asian and American (et al) continents.
The primary foundation of indigenous ideology has been most heavily influenced by the Olmec and the Sacred Geometry of Kemet brought to the Americas by sea bearing travelers from the Northern African continent. These travelers settled throughout the Americas and began to inter-marry with the native populations. We should bear in mind that neither the native populations nor the African travelers held beliefs in the necessity of maintaining pure blooded hierarchies in succession to any rights to a kingdom or throne. In keeping with the belief that our life experiences and knowledge is passed on through our DNA, which contains the cumulative wisdom of our people, the Sacred Geometry of Kemet served as a foundation for the supplemental continuation of indigenous beliefs.
Subsequently, these beliefs melded with the spiritual awareness of Asians and astrological knowledge generated in the mapping of the universe and charting of calendars generated by our indigenous populations in the Americas giving access into our cultural awareness of natural history and our harmony in the universe of which we are a part. I have also sought to maintain a thread of the notion that the drive of our spiritual and ontological beliefs can be expressed as an ontological desire originating within our human existence. That is, the ontological desire to which I refer, finds its' initial impetus as an expression of the will of the great spirit. Our own human consciousness has come to believe that this Great Spirit has sought to create a home upon the earth for all children of the Great Spirit to live in peace and harmony with nature and with each other.
Let us consider the graphic image above so that we might better understand the intended objective of our comparison between Western European consciousness and worldwide Indigenous consciousness. To begin, we see that the Sacred Geometry of Kemet has been placed in the position of the origin of the dialectic structure. Objectively, it is in the region of Kemet that we attribute the birth of world civilization. It was also here that the Greek philosopher Aristotle gave credit as the birthplace of mathematics. As such, we find the development of the philosophy of Ubuntu, made popular in other parts of the African continent, to be consistent with civil organization and harmonious interaction. Essentially, it is a philosophy based on the notion that “I am because you are".
Stated differently, it is a way of seeing ourselves as we see others. It is in this context that we can understand how our own civilization has been developed. The antithesis of this position on the dialectic structure shown above is not a chaotic society of individuals but, rather, a shifting of our axes inward towards a quest for self-discovery as opposed to being the outward and social discovery of self in others as is characteristic of the Sacred Geometry of Kemet. As opposite extremes of human consciousness, such a polarity serves to ground human consciousness in the reality of human existence and inherently entails the necessity of achieving a balance of perceptions in our human awareness of life and nature.
The third element of our dialectic structure can be imagined as hovering over the oppositional stance of both the thesis and the anti-thesis, and this, in turn, is what Immanuel Kant has named the “Transcendental Unity of Apperceptions”. For our purposes, this ideological apex is expressed by the Aztecs as "In Lak 'ech", meaning “I am another you”. As the story has developed from the original kemet, we can now see that as human beings, I am because you are and, I seek the internal balance of Buddha, to finally come to realize that I am another you in the heart of Central Mexico and the Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl (Aztec) qua KuKulcan (Mayan).
Thus, from the indigenous observatory of El Caracol in Chichen Itza we are able to track planetary movements which is still being used as a Mayan timepiece. Furthermore. in the Sacred Heart of the Indigenous Americas located in Teotihuacan, we are able to speak to the Great Spirit from within our own flow of energy that runs through everything that is. Together, the spiritual journey of humanity brought across the continents by African travelers, has finally come to realize that each phase of our evolution brings us together as a unity that bind us in love of self, of others and of life. That is, we are brought either in complete harmony with nature and with the universe.
In light of the typical arrogance of those that follow the ways of Western European scientific methodology, I realize that there are those that would encourage me to overcome my own sense of romanticism and the desire to go beyond myself to embrace the whole of nature and human existence. That is, they think that I must come to understand that my beliefs are sheer fantasy without foundation, empirical verification or rational explanation. In short, I must succumb to serving the needs of the wealthy class under the pretense of a fatally structured democratic government that will never be proven wrong by its' self-referential system of laws and a criminal elite that manipulate the masses with lethal accuracy through politics.
In retrospect, we have considered Western European scientific ideology and how it has finally evolved by understanding the significance of quantum physics. We have also considered indigenous ideology and its' relationship to the internal nature and source of our emotions and cognitive human insights. In what way, then can both of these life paths be said to lead to Aztlan? In other words, what does Aztlan stand for and what can it mean for me to say that all roads lead to Aztlan?
In folklore, Aztlan is said to be the promised land of the Aztec. Physically, it was believed to be located in the northern region of the Aztec empire or what is today considered the region between Phoenix, Arizona, and the Northern region of Sinaloa, Mexico, I however, believe that it is intended to refer to the world as a whole.
That is, there is no empirical bases to support my belief nor is there the slightest speculation by others that I might be right. That having been said, I will say that I am spiritually moved to express my belief, and that has always been good enough for me. In short, I believe that Aztlan, as the destination of all roads on the path to understanding the ontological or epistemological beliefs of either scientifically oriented ideology or of the spiritual consciousness and awareness of indigenous Mayan and Aztec ideologies, that Aztlan is located in proximity to the Avenue of the Dead, outside of Mexico City, Mexico.
This brings us to our third and final path, the universe itself. That is, the universe too has something to say about our understanding of the ontological and epistemological grasp of human consciousness. In this context, the pyramid of Quetzalcoatl qua Kukulcan located in Central Mexico sits at the center of Chichen Itza in Yucatan, adjacent to the Avenue of the Dead in Mexico. That is, The Avenue of the Dead is used for communion with the Great Spirit while the observatory of El Caracol in Chichen Itza is an active indigenous time piece that can shed light on our continued existence. Thus, this location can and is being used to tell cosmic time. It is here that the future of our existence has been prophesied as the destruction of one way of life and the birth of another.
Our venture forward can be accomplished by either our universal destruction for the Great Spirit to recast into a new form of existence or, within a very short period of time beginning now, we can transform our own human consciousness to exist in harmony with nature and sustain our new way of living in harmony with nature and the will of the Great Spirit. That is, we can yet acknowledge indigenous ideology as maintaining the harmony with nature and with the Great Spirit, our oneness with indigenous people, our harmony with nature and our being at one with the great spirit. Unfortunately, in the eyes of Western European ideology and culture, we must never allow our understanding of life to be based on anything other than science, end of story. Today, those that live in harmony with nature, with each other and with the Great Spirit, will assume their place as the Children of the Sun.
